Review: NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 / PA+++

What it claims:
NARS' Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer has an SPF of 30 and claims to be a lightweight tinted moisturizer that evens skin-tone while providing a translucent veil of protection. It claims to do all of this in as little as four weeks. This tinted moisturizer is also oil-free and sells on sephora(online/stores) and NARS(counters/online) for $42.00. It comes in ten shades, that range from light to dark with a combination of yellow, neutral, and red undertones.

My Skin:
Skin type: normal/combination
Skin tone: MAC NW 45/NARS Sheer Glow Trinidad/Makeup Forever HD #178
I have discolorations due to acne scarring and sensitive skin so most items break me out.

My Thoughts:
I love the feel of this tinted moisturizer, it is very lightweight and has a liquidy consistency. Its consistency makes it very easy to layer without feeling heavy or looking cakey. My color is Polynesia (dark with warm chocolate undertones). However, this tinted moisturizer is one that I have to work with. When I first apply it, it looks and feels beautiful giving my skin a dewy and glowy finish but, by the end of my day which is usually a school day from 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m it looks greasy. This surprises me because it is an oil-free tinted moisturizer. It also has a slight fragrance that does not bother me and it wears off after it is applied to the skin. Other than that I love this tinted moisturizer, I love that it does not contain any parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, or triclosan, so it is good for your skin. I also, like that it does even out my skin-tone.This tinted moisturizer comes with 50ml or 1.9oz. It is on the pricey side, but if you do not mind paying $42 for a tinted moisturizer then by all means be my guest. The only tinted moisturizer that I have ever tried prior to the NARS is the MAC Studio Moisture Tint which I also love.

Rate:
The NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is nice but the greasy look is not my style (a good way to combat that is by adding a mattifying primer before application and/or a mattifying powder to set this). The price is very steep and the liquid consistency makes it easy for you to run out. I do not see this lasting very long. All in all I do like it. I love the initial look it gives me and I love the consistency. I also love that it is not harmful to my skin and has a nice SPF coverage.
I give this product...
3.5/5 Stars:
